The primary years of schooling are of vital importance to the development of children’s skills, knowledge, understandings and attitudes to life-long learning.
At Vermont Primary School we aim to enhance the social, emotional, physical and intellectual development of all children. We believe children should be encouraged to develop their independence, self esteem, co-operative work skills and creativity.
We share with you the excitement and the responsibility of ensuring a happy, secure and successful transition to formal education for your Kindergarten child and put in place procedures to help older students successfully enter the school.
A strong partnership between home and school ensures the provision of quality educational programs for our children. Please feel very welcome to join in all aspects of school curriculum in our teaching programs, class activities, Vermont Primary School Community Network and School Council Committees. To be involved with the children’s programs, the Government requires all adults to have a Working With Children Card. These cards are openly displayed by all parents working within the school. Application forms are available from Post Offices.
Together with the school community, we look forward to participating with you in the many activities we have planned at Vermont Primary School.
