The Community Network at Vermont Primary School
The Community Network of Vermont Primary School are parents and grandparents that play an active role in supporting their children’s education and school events.
Being a part of the Community Network is another great way to meet others from across all year levels and to enjoy their company whilst helping the school. We know that everyone has busy lives, so we appreciate whatever time and support anyone is able to offer to the school.
Here are some of the ways the members of the Community Network support the children at Vermont Primary School:
- Organising and running social events that are enjoyed by the students (e.g., Icy Pole days, Footy Finals Fever hotdog day, Hot Cross Bun Day)
- Helping their children in their grade or at events
- Supporting school events such as Prep Transition, Mothers’ and Fathers’ Day stalls, Grandparents Day, School Production, Book Fair, Musical Soirees and other special events such as the Sip and Chat afternoon tea for the school community and Art Shows.
- Organising fund raising when there is a particular need, with events such as the Colour Run.
The members of the Community Network meet Friday mornings each fortnight for a morning tea to catch up on news, discuss activities and events.
We are lucky at Vermont Primary School that the broader school community generously supports our activities, which results in very positive outcomes for the school.
