The Community Network of Vermont Primary School and Kindergarten is a group of parents that play an active role in supporting their children’s education and school/kinder events. Vermont Primary School encompasses classes from kindergarten to Year 6.
The Community Network welcomes you and your family to the school community. The Community Network is a great way to meet parents from across all year levels and to enjoy their company whilst helping the school. The Network understands that everyone has busy lives and appreciates whatever time and support members are able to offer to the school.
The Community Network supports the children and the school in three main ways:
- Organising and running social events that are enjoyed by the students (e.g Icy Pole days, cupcake day, Footy Finals hotdog day, Hot cross buns)
- Supporting school events such as Prep transition, disco, Mothers’ and Fathers’ day stalls, Grandparents Day, Musical Soiree and special event morning/afternoon teas
- Organise fund raising when there is a particular need, with events such as a trivia night, chocolate drive, BBQ’s
The Network meets on a monthly basis to discuss our activities and events. We are lucky at Vermont Primary School that the broader school community generously supports our activities, which results in very positive outcomes for the school.
Our meetings are held once a month at 7.30pm in the school’s staff room. We would love to meet you there!
